Q: Can I customize my video slideshow?

A: Absolutely! We encourge you to come up with an original idea and allow us to incorporate it into your slideshow. There are many options to consider, such as themes, backgrounds, music selection, transitions, text effects, and much more. We will work with you in developing and finalizing your ideas in order to create your one of a kind slideshow.

Q: How long will it take to make my custom video slideshow?

A: Production of your slideshow will take approximatley 2 weeks after Photos Remembered has received all of the necessary information. If there is a rush on your order please notify us and we will try to accomodate your request if possible.

Q: How do I send my pictures to you?

A: You can scan the photos yourself or access help at a local photo lab, and then send the photos to us on a CD-R. Please make sure that the photo files are saved in a .jpeg, .jpg, or .bmp format. Alternatively, we offer you the option of sending the original photos and we can scan them for you for $.50 per photograph. Please review the Planning Guide to obtain more specific instructions.

Q: What payment methods are accepted?

A: We will accept money orders, personal checks, or credit card payments through Paypal. Many find using Paypal a convenient option because you do not have to open a Paypal account to process a credit card order through Paypal. An Invoice will be e-mailed to you after you complete the Order Form that will provide you with specific instructions regarding payment options and process. Production of your Slideshow cannot begin until full payment has been received.

Q: What are the shipping and handling fees?

A: There is a flat fee of $10 for shipping to addresses within the continental United States. Please Contact Us to obtain shipping and handling rates for international orders.

Q: What is the family tree slideshow add-on?

A: This is an option that can be integrated into your slideshow package. The Family Tree extra incorporates a picture of each family member and where they belong on your family tree. This works well with a number of slideshow themes, such as anniversaries, weddings, births, and memorials. The Family Tree highlights the connectivity of the family and the importance of the family's story. The charge for this option is $25. (view sample)

Q: What is the personal letter slideshow add-on?

A: This is an option that adds a very personal touch to your slideshow. It involves the layering of a personal letter written to the recipent(s) on top of a favorite photo. For example, you can develop a show for Father's/Mother's Day with a picture of child and a letter to his/her parent(s) from the child's perspective. The appearance of the text is highly customizable, ranging from simple scrolling to complex curling effects. Check out our sample shows to see some of the text effects possible. Q: What is the family wedding slideshow add-on?

A: This option is added to your slideshow to commemorate the weddings of other family members. Many customers incorporate this extra into shows that carry an "Our Story" theme. A wedding photo of each family member with a caption that includes their name and wedding date recalls the special moments that the family has celebrated. A seperate song should be chosen for this section. Viewers will enjoy seeing the old photos of forgotten times. The charge for this option is $5 for each photo with a minimum of 5 photos. Q: What is the thank you credits slideshow add-on?

A: This option is added to acknowledge all the members of your wedding party and any other individuals who played a key role during the special occasion. This section will incorporate a photo of each member with their name and title in the wedding. A seperate song should be chosen for this section. The charge for this option is $5 for each photo with a minimum of 5 photos.(view sample)

Q: How do I know if my video will play on my DVD player?

A: Photos Remembered uses standard DVD-R discs, which has been found to be compatible with approximatley 93-95% of DVD players. However, Contact Us if you have specific information regarding supported formats for your DVD player. If your DVD player was purchased in the last few years you should have no problem, but please check your DVD player manual for information on supported formats or check the following link for more information http://videohelp.com/dvdplayers. Because of the steps we take to ensure compatibality, Photos Remembered cannot provide refunds for DVD incompatibility.

Q: Can I choose any song I want?

A: Almost every song available is protected by a copyright. In general, this means that you must own the song in order to use it and places limitations in terms of how you may use the song. In order to prevent copyright infringement, you may either send the original CD with the song(s) you wish to use or confirm that you have purchased the song(s) from an online music store such as iTunes or Rhapsody. By agreeing to our terms of service, customers agree that they have purchased and possess an orginal copy of all music used in their video slideshow. Copyright laws limits the use of video slideshows and the songs used in the shows to personal use. Please visit our Song Suggestions page.

Q: How can I present my video slideshow to a large audience?

A: In order to present your video slideshow on a large screen, you will need a digital media projector (lcd projector) and a DVD player. Your video slideshow DVD will play on most stand-alone DVD players as well as computer DVD players. Many establishments will have access to the equipment you will need to present your show, so contacting them may be your first step. Once you have the equipment you need, presenting the show is as simples as pushing the play button.
